FD Triage — Support
Flood Doctor Inc.
Getting it
- Open Google Chat (chat.google.com, or the Chat tab in Gmail).
- Click New chat and type FD Triage.
- Pick it and send it any message.
It replies with a welcome, and the first cards arrive within a couple of minutes. Type help to it at any time for the command list.
What the buttons do
- Open in Gmail
- Jumps to the thread.
- Mark Resolved
- Labels the thread triaged and closes the card.
- Received & Reviewing · Reply w/ ETA today
- Stages a short reply as a draft in your mailbox. Nothing is ever sent for you.
- AI Draft
- Writes a longer draft reply into your drafts.
- Snooze 1h / 4h
- Hides the card and brings it back later.
- Escalate
- Pushes an alert and emails whoever is on call.
- Reassign to + Confirm Reassign
- Hands the thread to a colleague. They are emailed, and pinged in Chat if they are on FD Triage too. The card tells you which of those actually happened.
Common questions
- I tapped a button and nothing happened.
- Taps are processed asynchronously, so the card updates a second or two later rather than immediately. If the card still has not changed after about ten seconds, the action did not land — report it.
- Why am I not getting any cards?
- Almost always because the app was never installed on your account. Follow the three steps above. If you installed it and still see nothing after five minutes, report it.
- Will other people see my email?
- No. Each person's cards come from their own inbox only, in a private direct message between them and the app.
- How do I stop it?
- Remove the app from the chat. Processing stops immediately.
